President's Message
Welcome to all continuing, new, and prospective members of the Cincinnati Women’s Society of Certified Public Accountants (CWSCPA).
Another exciting year has begun for CWSCPA, which is on the verge of its 30th anniversary. CWSCPA began in 1980; it is a professional organization, which serves as a valuable resource to its members and to the community.
CWSCPA is committed to fostering professional development, providing networking opportunities, and raising awareness of women’s issues. Additionally, we offer at least one scholarship opportunity per year to deserving college students who are pursuing careers in the field of accounting.
CWSCPA’s monthly events are always fun and informative; our meetings are normally held on the third Wednesday of each month from September through June. Some of our more popular events include CPE seminars, Adopt-A-Family, Holiday dinner, Cooking class, and Volunteer night. Other fun events are also planned. I encourage you to attend these wonderful events, and I implore you to invite other women colleagues and co-workers in the accounting profession to attend our events and to join our organization as well.Members are encouraged to participate and express their ideas. Our dynamic organization provides an enriching opportunity to serve on any of our committees: Scholarship, Program, Membership, and Website. Serving on a committee can be a very rewarding experience, both personally and professionally. If you have any questions regarding the various committees, please do not hesitate to contact me, or any of our Board members.
