The CWSCPA awards an annual scholarship to a Cincinnati area female accounting student. Recipients of the scholarship are attending or are accepted to attend a post-secondary institution in the Greater Cincinnati area, show financial need and are currently majoring in or plan to major in accounting. The scholarship committee considers the applicant’s eligibility, short essay and a letter of recommendation provided with the application when awarding the scholarship. The current application is generally posted in September, due at the beginning of November and awarded by mid December. Please see below for current applications. This year’s recipient is a student at Northern Kentucky University. She plans to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation. She already recognizes the complexities of the profession and acknowledges the courage one must have to meet the ethical code. Our recipient is the mother of two.
