The Cincinnati Women's Society of Certified Public Accountants is a growing, dynamic association serving a diverse membership of CPAs in private industry, public practice, government and education. With an eye on the future and roots in preserving the CPA designation, CWSCPA is committed to helping all members meet the challenges and seize the opportunities within the CPA profession.

CWSCPA Membership Profile
We like to obtain a profile of our members - because as our membership changes so must CWSCPA change. The Board and Committees of CWSCPA have found this information very interesting and useful. We thought our Membership might also find the following highlights interesting:
CWSCPA has 95 members as of January 1, 2001: 61 members are employed in public accounting, 28 members are employed in industry, 4 members are employed in the not-for-profit sector and 2 members are employed in retail.
Collective experience: 308 years in international accounting firms, 208 years in local/regional accounting firms, 54 years in sole proprietorships, 158 years in large industries, 115 years in small business, 70 years in the not-for-profit sector and 19 years in other areas.
Our members are involved in over 100 different volunteer organizations. Favorites include Junior Achievement, United Way and various universities and churches.
Women CPA's in industry, public accounting and non-financial fields who hold valid certification in any state or territory of the United States and The District of Columbia may be considered for Regular Membership. Those who have passed at least part of the CPA examination and are working toward certification may be considered for Associate Membership.
Our membership is diverse. Many have years of experience. Others are just beginning their careers. WIth over 90 active members, we possess a great deal of aggregate talent and experience. But we all have one thing in common - a desire to advance in the accounting profession.
