Membership
We generally meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month from September through June, usually in the early evening. And, it's not all business. Our programs range from an annual seminar for CPE credit to fashion shows and everything in between.
Your membership entitles you to our bimonthly newsletter, membership directory, confidential employment resources, reduced costs for programs, and an introduction to the finest CPA's in the area.
Dear Fellow CPA:
As the current Chairperson of the Membership Committee of the Cincinnati Women’s Society of Certified Public Accountants (CWSCPA), it is my pleasure to offer you this invitation for membership into our organization for the 2008-2009 year.
CWSCPA is a professional organization whose members are CPAs from the Greater Cincinnati area. It is a unique organization, which serves as a valuable resource to its members and to the community by showing its commitment to fostering professional development, providing networking opportunities, and raising awareness of women’s issues. Our membership consists of individuals employed in industry, public accounting, and education, who collectively possess a wide range of skill and expertise. Along with career and family, our members are also involved in various professional and volunteer organizations.
CWSCPA’s activities are always fun and informative; a sample of this year’s activities will include Meet & Greet, CPE seminar, Adopt-A-Family, and Volunteer night. Other fun events are also being planned. Our meetings are generally held on the third Wednesday of every month from September through June.
Members are encouraged to participate and express their ideas. Our dynamic organization provides an enriching opportunity to serve on any of our five committees: Scholarship, Newsletter, Program, Public Relations, and Membership. Serving on a committee can be a very rewarding experience, both personally and professionally. If you have any questions regarding the various committees, please do not hesitate to contact me, or any of our Board members.
To become a member, simply complete the Membership Application along with the yearly membership fee and return it to the address listed at the bottom. Membership dues this year are $50, but we are pleased to offer you a discounted rate of $45, if you complete and return the enclosed Membership Application along with your check made out to CWSCPA, by September 30, 2008. We also offer associate memberships for individuals who are working towards passing the CPA exam.
Please feel free to make copies or request blank membership applications to give to colleagues and friends who may be interested in joining CWSCPA. We look forward to seeing you at our first meeting in September!
